Irish Ice Hockey Association Announces Official Endorsement of Prime Arena Cherrywood

Prime Arena Holdings is pleased to acknowledge the official endorsement of the Prime Arena Cherrywood project by the Irish Ice Hockey Association (IIHA).

The IIHA has long championed the development of permanent, Olympic‑standard ice facilities in Ireland. In its endorsement, the Association recognises Prime Arena as a major step forward for Irish ice hockey and for the wider landscape of winter sports. The project will provide a national home for ice hockey and other ice disciplines, addressing the long‑standing absence of elite‑level, year‑round infrastructure in Ireland.

Prime Arena will deliver two Olympic‑size ice rinks within a world‑class multi‑purpose arena, supporting high‑performance athletes, expanding grassroots participation and creating a true community and national hub for ice sport. The facility will also serve as a state‑of‑the‑art venue for concerts, conferences and major live events, contributing to Ireland’s broader sporting, tourism and economic development.
