On a sunny afternoon at Glanmire, the Prime Arena Holdings team was honoured to attend the Canada Day 2025 celebration, hosted by Ambassador Dennis King and the wonderful team at the Canadian Embassy in Ireland.

This annual event is a vibrant celebration of Canadian culture and community and for us, it was also an opportunity to share the vision behind Ireland’s first Olympic-standard indoor ice facility and professional hockey franchise.

Canada’s deep love of ice hockey is world renowned. To be able to talk about how Dublin will soon welcome its own state-of-the-art arena and professional team with Canadian partners, friends and fans felt particularly special. The afternoon was filled with warm hospitality, great conversations and a shared passion for winter sports.

As we continue building toward the opening of Cherrywood Arena, moments like this remind us how powerful community, culture and shared passion can be.
